I understand there is a lot of room within different kinds of
compression as to size factors. I am trying to find a site that
addresses this.

I have a mov file that is 2.1 GB and dropping it onto toast 6.0 lite to
burn, I end up with a vob file that is 700,584 KB. This feels wrong...?

I cannot make any changes as this is the lite version. All the other
controls are greyed out.

I have ordered iLife 4.0 and am hoping iDVD will work better. This is a
10 minute mov file edited on iMovie from original DV input.

My movie looks looks jittery playing on the set top player - like field
stepping. Of course, it looks fine on any computer drive. I redid it at
a 2x burn with everything else on my system turned off. Same, same.

Any idea as to this size vob being what it should be? Or does anyone
know a site that addresses file size vs. compression technique?
