Help needed capturing JVC GR90US video on computer |
|
|
Hello, All -
My daughter has a 1 year old JVC GR90US Digital Video camera and a
Dell 3.2 ghz PC running Windows XP home. She has PowerDirector
software. We have tried and tried to get the PC to "see" her camera
so we can capture the video, but the PC does not recognize that the
camera is there. We are connecting it through a USB port, the camera
is on and in Playback mode. The software just says "there is no
device connected". I checked in the Device Manager section of the
computer and her camera is not listed. I said "add device" and
pointed the computer to her original sofware/driver CD that came with
the camera. The computer just says "information on device not on
disc". Can anyone help? CAN this camera be connected to a PC for
capture? Does she need to install a firewire card instead of USB?
Anyone have an idea what we are doing wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer
DK
