I give this update a big big thumbs down.

They managed to make Vision Express transcoding and Recode now work 30%
slower.....for what? What did we gain?

Nada.

This company is on its way out.

Buggered if I know. I use it for burning. For encoding I would use
tmpgenc.

Maybe there are LOTS of people who don't want to buy and fool around with
different interfaces and encoders.

Maybe?

I always thought Nero's Vision Express was too damned slow, therefor I never
use it.

It is more robust than many. I like DVD Author also, but each DVD I create
has ca. 20 'movies' (excerpts) on it. DVD Author does not handle that
situation well at all, since multiple selections result in chapters, not
individual tracks.

I do wish DVD Author would get more flexibility in cases such as this. I
would have rather that be added (in the last update) than dual layer. :-/

I'll add another thing to my list for that program: The filename should
serve as the default label for the track. Every other program does that.

YES!! Man, I've typed track names SO many times wondering why the hell they
don't automatically do that.
