Or alteast the same quality and smaller. HD is Still great quality not
saying Divx 6 HD would make HD any better :)

Not yet, but initial testing in the Home-theater setting (upped
to 1.3 mbps) is discouraging.

I am registered, but I don't think my codec operates any
differently for other versions. I am not, however, using the
Divx Converter. If you're using this toy, there is no way to
change the settings that I can see.

I'm using VDub-MPEG2 at the moment, and tested FlaskMPEG
yesterday. Both interface smoothly with the Divx6 codec.

Since both PCs here are also converting at the moment, I can't
(won't) access the codec setup screens now. However, from
memory, the speed setting is right next to the pass control box.
Just type in the value you want. I seem to recall, in older
versions, there is a range limit - but I forget what it might
have been:-(

My inclination is to use "unrestricted" rather than any of
Divx's presets. With 5.x it did not interfere with my Divx
players, as long as I didn't use q-pel.

I Used the Hidef to convert a 150 meg WMA HD 1080i clip. AND YES ITS
Smaller :)

But the problem is it does not save it as a 1080i resolution file. It
saves it at a 1280 by 528. The clip looks ok but it aint 1920 by
1080. The file is 29 megs compressed and RAPPED :p

Would be nice to see what kind of compression it could so and still
keep it at the original file size. untill then this software bites.

See ya.
