disc made in RCA standalone recorder not recognized in PC |

Hello Recently a friend of mine recorded a football game for me using
his RCA standalone DVD recorder. He gave me a dvd+r disc and when i
tried to play it in my standalone it didn't play even though my
standalone normally plays dvd+r. So I then put the disc into my dvd
drive on my PC and windows XP shows that the disc is empty. I then
tried to make a disc copy using Nero and Nero recognized the disc and
reported 3.8 GB of data. I never actually copied the disc, but i did
create a disc image using Nero. I was then able to play the disc
image using VLC Media player, so there is actually a football game on
the disc. but when i try and mount the image on a virtual drive i get
error messages that the image is corrupt. I suspect that maybe the
disc was not finalized when it was created? I also opened the image up
in isobuster, but didn't seem to be able to extract any useful data. I
got lots of error messages and i'm not really sure about all the
different extraction methods used in isobuster. I would like to be able
to extract the game from the image i created(or the actual disc)and
hopefully author a new DVD. Any help would be appreciated.
