Help: Changing authored DVD start option |

I've authored some DVDs and have mistakenly set them to play the first track
automatically when I need them to go direct to the main menu and select from
there.
Is it possible change this option in IFOEdit or another tool. I've deleted
my project files so can't amend from there
Any help appreciated. I author using TEMGEnc Author if that means anything

You can always re-author the disc using TDA. Instead of
using the M2V/AC3 files as the source, I think you can
point at VOBs (different option in the "add files to a
track" screen). You'll probably want to copy the VOBs
to the hard drive first.
Probably the only thing you'll have to recreate from
scratch is entering in any menu/chapter titles. Not
sure if the chapter points will come in intact when you
load in the VOB. |

I recently authored a dvd in TMPGEnc DVD author, and accidently did the same
thing so the video starts playing without jumping to the menu first.
I have a copy of IFOEdit on my PC and have been looking for an excuse to
test it out so I looked at the online guide and found this link:

and edited the bits as shown in the screenshots, and it worked! It now
jumps straight to the menu.
(the example shows how to make it jump to the "root" menu, but my dvd did
not have a root menu, so I made it jump to the "chapter" menu instead) |

Thanks it works perfectly. I only had to change one line to
(JumpSS_VMGM) Jump to VideoManager Menu
Excellent. Saved me a lot of work

DVDReMake Pro can do it easily. Just import the DVD, edit the
FirstPlay VM commands (or any others), and export the DVD. It's a
great program.
