Technics turntable grounding ? |
|
|
I have a Technics SL-B200 turntable, and the ground wire has becom
unattached. There's no obvious place to re-attach it, so where does i
connect?
Thanks

Pretty much any place that stops the buzzing when it's not attached. Look for
a metal screw that bites into the metal chassis.

As long as that screw is in the receiver/amplifier. Mine has a thumbscrew
for such purposes. |

On these models there is a small hole near the Left and Right audio output
jacks, into which the ground wire plugs.

| I have a similar situation. I have an old Technics, and I misplaced the original ground wire. I have a thumbscrew post on my receiver that wire attaches to. On that end I have a spade that attaches. O the turntable spot, I rigged something together. It doesn't match the jack on the turntable (next to the RCAs) and I get a nasty buzzing sound. What can I use, or can I get a new Technics grounding wire? |
