Converting wmv format |

I want to convert wmv to xvid to show it on a palm, but virtualdub will not
allow it. Is there any way to make the conversion?

Only way I know is Linux mplayer / mencoder. |

Googling for "wmv to xvid" (quotes included) yeilded this well
known pkg:

Early versions of Virtual Dub (I think it was up to v1.2) supported wmv. Microsnot ordered that capability be
removed. |
