sun spot interference |

cable company says problems caused by
sun spots. Problems occurr even at 10:30
pm. Is this normal sun spot interference?

Well, coronal mass ejections do affect satellites, bit if one happend
you'd hear about it.
And there is the twice yearly solar transit (which is not sunspots, it
is the sun period, directly behind satellite washing out the signal
from the satellite), that happens for about 15-20 minutes a day (in
the daytime), when depending on what satellite and the location of the
receiving dish. |
