I'm using MyDVD software from Sonic. I've made a "project" as they call it
about my grandson's visit. It includes three sequences of several stills
and three sequences of video. I've burned it onto a DVD+RW in DVD-V format
and called it "Grandson's Visit." When I play it, the title page appears
with a picture from the beginning of each sequence. So far, so good. And,
the DVD plays just fine.

But, I'd also like to include on the same DVD+RW disk another project which
I'll call "Utah Visit." The software won't seem to let me do that as it
wants to erase the Granson's Visit project first.

Isn't it possible to put many projects on one disk? How?

Thanks, Pete

Hi Pete,
I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I'm pretty sure you can't do that. If you
have the original project still on your computer, you'll have to create a
new project and include it with the new files and burn another disc. If you
haven't, you will have to extract the files from the disk back onto your
computer etc. Your DVD burning software should allow you to do it. DVD+RW
or any other re-writable dvds are a bit misleading - all it means is you can
erase the data on the disc and re-use it - not much point these days
considering the price drop in blanks. Having said that I use one for testing
purposes only, I use premiere to do some editing - I burn the disc - check
it on the telly to make sure that's the effect I want - then burn the "real"
one on a standard dvd. I would make sense if you could do it - maybe that
sort of versatility is coming.
Cheers :)
Steve.

MYDVD almost certainly "finalized" your DVD after creating the first
project.

What you can do is use any one of a number of handy DVD Rippers to copy the
files off your DVD+RW, then clean it off and burn it again with your old
plus new stuff.
