I need some help from the group please:

Just got Comcast HD with the 6200 STB. Can someone please provide advice on
the set-up for the box regarding audio and video output other than HD.

I have a native 720p display and have accessed the menus to set the HD
output to that. However, I'm not quite sure of the other settings for video
and audio, either the standard menu or the menus you get when you use the
power and menu buttons.

Also, just a sanity check here. When sufing thru the digital channels in
the HD package, some will go full 16:9, others will display 4:3. My display
is set to the "full" mode. I know not all content on these channels will be
HD. Normal operation?

Thanks in advance for the help.

---------------------------

HD channels will be displayed in either 16:9 or 4:3 depending on the
source material. So seeing some HD channels in 4:3, and some in 16:9
is totally normal. Also, I normally keep my TV on "full" except when I
really want a fuller screen for 4:3 material, then I use "zoom" mode.
I stay away from the stretch modes though, they are absolutely
unwatchable IMO.

Whether "stretch" mode is watchable depends very much on the TV set. The
"expanded" 4:3 mode on my Hitachi 46WS500 CRT RPTV is pretty good c. minimal
distortion of the original picture.
