Join two divx in one |

Hello,
I've just one question:
I have a movie in two parts (700 Mo each). I want to join the two parts
in only one file...
Because I want to burn it on a DVD and I don't want to change disk or
press a key when I watch the movie...
Do you know a software which can do this ?
Thank you for your response.

VirtualDub can do it easily. Make sure both Video and Audio are set
to "Direct stream copy." Open part 1 of the movie, then go to File >
Append AVI segment... and select part 2. Once the two parts are
joined, go to File once again and select "Save as AVI..." Assign a
name and location and save it.
If you don't already have VirtualDub installed, you can get it here:
http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/
That's the MPEG2 version, which I find more useful than regular
VirtualDub since it reads MPEG2s as well as AVIs.
Not only is VirtualDub-MPEG2 the greatest AVI program there is IMHO,
the price is right! :-)

Hello Larc,
Thanks for information but I've got another problem.
When I want to open a Xvid file, VitrualDub says: "Couldn't locate
decompressor for format 'XVid' (unknown)"...
Does VirualDub need an additional plugin ?
Thank you... |

Are you able to play an XviD movie on your computer at all? If not,
you can get the necessary codec here:
http://www.xvid.org/
Version 1.0.3 is the latest safe standard, but 1.1.0-beta2 seems to be
stable enough to be trusted.
This isn't a plugin for VirtualDub, but for installation at large.
VirtualDub should find it with no problem.
HTH!

Hello,
I have no problem to play a Xvid Codec on my computer... But I have
found one thing: In the properties window of all my AVI files appears
in File Type with "RMXP.exe" and not with "Video Clip". On my laptop
information is ok...
Is it the reason ?? What is RMXP ? What do you think about Larc ?
Thank you...
