Nero Vision Express 3
I am trying to burn my first DVD using NVE 3 for
1)capturing 6 episodes, each of roughly 30 min gross
2)editing the commercials out leaving a net length of approx. 20 min
3)authoring the 6 episodes together and
4)burning them on a 2 hour 4.7 GB DVD
I am having the following problems in the process.
1)The scientific serial from Discovery channel is a weekly. In this
situation, do I have to capture all the 6 episodes on a VCR tape and
then start the project or can I capture, edit and author a new episode
every week into the Project Folder? Or can I convert the VCR episode
into a "captured video" file every week,save it in the NeroVision
Folder and start editing and authoring for the DVD Project only when
all the 6 captured videos are in one Folde?
2)After editing each episode, do I merely click on the Next button and
would the edited episode then replace the raw captured episode? Or
will there be a separate edited file? Can I view how good has been the
editing? How?
3)Does the process of pressing the Next button at the end of each
edited episode automatically put the episode into the Authored
episodes stream for the Project? At the end of the 6 episodes, do I
have to press the Save button after pressing Next and then start the
burning process?
4)Even though I have 35 GB of space on my Hard Disk free, after
capturing 3 or 4 episodes in the NeroVision Folder, while capturing
the next episode, NeroVision is suddenly discontinuing the capture
process after recording for 50 to 60% of the episode at a length of
some 1.2 GB. Why can it not record the entire episode without breaking
it up? Do I have to change any settings in Preferences to enable
capture of the total length of each file?
5)Can the broken episodes be combined by any feature in NVE, like the
Chapter functionality?
