converting .mov files |
|
|
Hi,
First off thanks to all who helped me with my VHS - DVD capturing problems.
After more investigation, we decided to buy a new capture card - a Pinnacle
PCTV Stereo & I have had major success with transferring VHS to DVD - even
got sound too LOL.
Now my question is, how do I convert .mov files into a format that I can
include on a DVD? My Nikon digital camera takes 40 seconds of video (no
sound) but it is in .mov format. I am making a DVD for my daughters 21st,
"this is your life so far..." kind of thing. I have mostly still images
(jpegs) & about 10 small video clips (mpeg) to include - I also have 1 .mov
clip that I would love to include.
I have tried to convert the file using MOV to AVI MPEG WMV Converter v1.6.2
but it will only convert 1/2 of the file unless you purchase it (its not
much in American dollars but I use Aust. dollars) & also tried TMPGEnc 2.5
but that saved the video as a still image. Help please!!!
Cheers Jenny

I am not an expert but I found a copy of Adobe premiere elements for movie
editing and it is so easier to use than Windows movie maker and does so much
more. I am sure you can do something with DVD, have a look.

Apple Quicktime will convert .mov files to several other formats including
MP4 and AVI. Install the free version and click on upgrade to register and
pay $20US . Note that the newest versions of QuickTime may also include
their music share software but you may be able to tell it to not install.
