Last night I had the timer on my Panasonic E85 set manually to record
something from 1:00am to 2:00am, and then I realized that the switch from
daylight-savings time to normal time was supposed to happen at 2:00am, so
I decided to stay up and see what happened.

The recording started as I expected, but then at the end of the hour it
kept on going, so I stopped it manually. The recorder's clock now read
1:00am again, so I figured that the time had automatically been reset
before the end of the recording, and that the recording would have
proceeded until the new 2:00am if I hadn't stopped it.

I then reset all the other clocks in the house and went to bed.

This morning after I woke up, I happened to look at the recorder's clock
again. It now reads one hour earlier than all the other clocks. That is,
it now reads *two* hours earlier than before the time change last night!
The online TV Guide is out of sync by one hour.

Should I just wait and see if it corrects itself automatically, or should
I reset the recorder and re-initialize the time and TV Guide?

This happened to me as well. All I did to fix it was to unplug the power
for a couple of minutes, then fire it back up. All the TV guide information
was still intact, and the time was correct.

I'm not sure exactly what caused the problem, but I suspect it might have
something to do with locking the channel preview in the TV guide listings.
With the problem, the lock icon in the upper left of the screen was closed.
When I restored the power (and the time was correct) the lock icon was open.

Don't know really, but it's working fine now. :)

My Panasonic E75 clock set correctly, but a recording I made from
12mid-2am+a couple minutes ran 3 hours. I was half expecting that to
happen though. There was something else I wanted to record from
2am-3am, but between the time auto setting on both the DirecTV
receiver and the DVD Recorder I couldn't quite figure out how to do
it, without risking messing up the first recording. Glad we only have
to deal with this twice a year.

I went ahead and reset it last night (didn't have a lot of programming
effort invested, so it was no big deal losing it), and things seem to be
fine now. Bring on the Election Day coverage tomorrow!
