I've already 'clicked' for more information on a couple things in the past.
I've used the icon to set up a program to record. I like it.

I liked it even more after I saw this buried deep in the article:

"...the advertising revenue will probably bring down the cost of TiVo to its
2 million subscribers — currently $12.95 a month.)

So, it's something I've ALREADY seen and used, and I MIGHT go back down to
$9.95, or perhaps less? Where's the downside?

My guess is that it's not so much that it will 'bring down' the price as it
will give Tivo the financial ability to delay raising subscription prices at
some point in time when they would otherwise have the need to raise them.
