Hifi portable cd player |

I want a portable cp player with a good sound, line-out (to use with a
head-phone amp.) and no other embellishments such as radio, .mps
playback, etc.
Any suggestions?

I gather you want to play commercial CDs, and nothing else. No CDRs, no
CDRWs, no mp3 encoded discs, etc. I also gather that you do not intend to
drive headphones directly.
Does the volume control have to control the line out, or will you be using
the volume control on the headphone amp?

I was assuming the line-out bypassed the volume control.
