Which versions of DivX decoder play Xvid ? |
|
|
:-)
I've noticed that Xvid AVI's play back on this system:
Win2000, WMP9, free DivX 5.2.1 decoder (no specific Xvid codec installed)
but not on this one:
Win98SE, WMP7.1, DivX 5.0.2 Pro codec (no specific Xvid codec installed)
Can anyone tell me which is the first version of the DivX codec that added
Xvid compatibility ?
Thanks in advance!
Marc.

I think it must have something to do with the version of XviD used to make the file.
I use 3ivx to view XviD files and I can turn off the 3ivx software. When I turn it off,
older Xvid files will not play with my Divx codec. Files made with a new XviD codec will
play using Divx. The Divx codec is an old one, version 5.0.1. |
