Is there a DVD player out there with two sets of standard (stereo) audio
outputs. I want to be able to run it to two different devices without
having to either unplug and reconnect all the time, or by using some
type of signal splitter.

I want decent quality and am willing to look at a something moderately
expensive (say up to $500), but something cheaper would certainly be
desirable.

Thanks for the help.

signal splitting is the way to go. there is essentially no degradation
in the output along the two lines. a pair of first quality stereo
audio cables with a piggy-back splitter is under $5 at any
electronics shop. you can probably even get them at radio shack fo
$10.

these cables consist of a hard rca-male-plug with both a cable out and a
rca female connection in which you can plug another rca male plug.
two of them make up a set. i have such all over my complicated
multiple device set-up: one cable hdtv box, one hdtv monitor, two vcrs,
two dvd players and an a/v receiver. i am thinking of adding a dvd
recorder such as the panasonic dmr-e85.

i want the audio output of any device to go straight to the a/v
receiver without passing through any intermediaries. the splitter
permit this.
