DVD novice question (UK) |

I am looking at buying a DVD recorder on the lines of Panasonic E55 or
Pioneer 220. I have a PC with a Pioneer 108 CD/DVD burner drive and a DVD
Read drive. If I use a DVD disk in the same way as a VCR tape for day to
day recording/viewing, and have several, say, TV programmes on it and decide
I want to archive some of them, is it possible/feasible to do this on the
PC, ie put the disk from the recorder in my DVD read drive and copy only
parts of to a CD or DVD-r disk in the CD/DVD burner?
I realise the ideal would be a HDD/DVDR but have yet to convince my other
half of this
