I have a JVC HR-XVC30U DVD/Video player and to use it you have to switch the
TV to channel 3, but my cable box uses channel 4. Is their a way to change
the DVD player so it uses channel 4. Normally on most entertainment
equiptment their was a little switch to change from 3 to 4 but I can't find
one on this machine. Thanks.

In my last VCR, although not a JVC, this setting was controlled by
software and implemented by pressing certain combinations of
front-panel keys with the power off. You might check your owner's
manual to see if something similar applies to your situation. Good
luck.

Yes. on page 15 of the owners manual it says.
1 Press POWER to turn off the unit, then press
STOP on the unit for more than 5 seconds. "3 CH"
appearson the front display panel.
2 Press CH +/- on the remote to select"3 CH", "4 CH"
or "-CH" (off), then press OK.

Watching DVD via Channel 3? Are you still living in the 60's? How
about using the RCA video connections at the very least? Use
component video or DVI if you can.

Not to mention the copy protection weirdness he's about to experience by |
using the RF output to watch DVDs...... |
