I have a Panasonic DVD-R Player and I'm having trouble getting a disc
out. I've unplugged it and tried again but all it says is CLOSE. I'd
appreciate any help. TIA

the disc is not properly seated. i had that happen to a $30 el cheapo.
with little to lose, i got out my trusty phillips head screw drivers
and very carefully removed the case from the chassis. there were only
two or three screws as i recall. after the case came off, i could see
the disc, not properly seated in its holder. i removed it,
re-assembled, and it has been fine ever since.

i have been careful to seat the disc properly before closing ever
since. if not seated properly, the tray will close, but not re-open.

i also took note of how little was actually inside the player. tells
you why they can be sold so cheaply.

I don't know anything about your DVD, but many of the DVD drives have a
small hole in the front. If you have this, unfold a paper clip and push it
in the hole to pop open the drive.
