SAT-T60 no sound for first 30 seconds |
|
|
Lately my system has developed an annoying characteristic. When I turn
everything on I get picture (both tuners) but no sound for about 30
seconds. I try changing the channels playing recorded stuff, nothing
seems to work. If i just wait the sound comes on and everything is fine.
After I get sound if I turn it off and on sound comes in immediately, I
don't know how long it has to be off before the delay occurs again. Not
a huge deal but if it can be fixed I would like to do so.
Any ideas what the problem might be or how to figure out what the
problem might be?
TIA

Is TiVo the only item you shut down? Many audio amplifiers have
quieting circuits to prevent loud noises when the audio is first turned on.

No the whole system (amp, tv, tivo) all comes on at once. But this
problem just started after several years of operation. I have also wired
the sound directly to the TV and don't hear anything there either. I
thought maybe the amp was going bad. But if you turn on the radio sound
comes out immediately. I am pretty sure it is the TiVO.
