Hello,

Are divx version compatible with the older ones .
For example, can a video encoded with the
divx5 codec be read with a divx4 reader ?

I ask this question because i dont know if new
divx codecs simply improve the encoder behavior
or if some new tools are used to better compress
the video.

Thx, but i am interested by the reverse situation. can divx 3.11
playback divx 4.xx encode ?
