Making A DVD Recorder Region/Code Free |
|
|
I want to purchase a table top DVD Recorder that is easy to make
region/code free (meaning I can get the directions easily, and
actually apply the hack without having to be an engineer.)
Does anyone know which DVD Recorders have easy hacks to do this?
Thanks!

Hi,
I just got an Ellion DVD Recorder from Amazon.co.uk for £149.99
And to make it region free, simply switch on, wait until it says "No Disc"
and
simply tap in 7 , 7 , 0 on the remote control, then on the upper right hand
corner of the
screen it will display briefly region 0, and there ya go region free.
Or you repeat the steps above for different regions if 0 doesn't work i.e
Region 1: 771
Region 2: 772
Region 3: 773
But I'm playing different region discs with no problems!
etc. as I said I've only got it a few days, but it works a treat, doubt you
find much simpler for the money!
Regards
Ado

it would be a lot easier, just to copy on your PC using DVDShrink. That is
an easy method, makes it region free, and removes the copy protection

Does anyone know any region code hacks to make the Lite-On LVW-5101
region free?
This model can be purchased in the US at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart.
I already have a region free DVD player, but want to replace it with a
Region Free(enabled)DVD Recorder!
Thanks in advance! |
