I rip many movies for divx/xvid encoding. I use 2 seperate pc's for the
task. It depends on which one is free at the time.

I rip my movies with smartripper. Then usually use neodivx to encode. The
file in question is intact and will make a nice 2 pass xvid. If I take the
same file, send it over the network to my other pc and try it, it will not
work. All files appear to be the fine. Yet, neodivx says "list index out
of bounds".

what causes this type of corruption? I can send many large size files over
my simple 10/100 hardline network without issue. So i doubt the transfer
itself.
