Hi,

I'm using VDubMod to edit my footage and I would like to tack on
titles / captions here and there with dates and places of where the
footage was taken and so on.

Where in VdubMod can I do this?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

THANK YOU!

T

OK...

So since no one replied I will assume no one knew how to add subs in
VDub.

So...

I'll answer my own question in the case some may want to know.

You need the VDub "Subtitler"
http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters
plug in and "Subtitle Workshop"
http://www.urusoft.net/download.php?lang=1&id=sw
Open Subtitle Workshop up, put the titles at the correct frames you
want them, save as an ssa file...
Open filters / add / Subtitler and then browse for the ssa file you
just made.

Save your edited video and there ya go... Subtitles!

Hope someone else finds this helpfull!

T

Now... Anyone mind helping me learn how to fade a video and audio out
in VDubMod?

You know most people eventually buy an edit program.
Froogle on : "Magix Video Deluxe 2.0 Plus" and you will
find it for ~$15 USD.

Actually, encoding subtitles into AVI/MPEG is not such a great idea. Save
them as SRT file, using the same name as AVI has. Install VobSub plugin.
You'll get subtitles in WMP. Some standalone DVD players that can play AVIs
(DIVX, XVID) will be able to play extern subtitles as well.

Thank you muich for the reply and info...
In THIS particular instance I actually WANT the subs to be a part of
the video.
However, I'm definately gonna use your info for some upcomming
projects.

Thank ya,
