This first movie I recored as a AVI or MPEG was a 90min movie off my
VCR and it recorded by itself as one file fine. Since then every 13
minutes I have to stop and start again making it necesarry to piece
all the clips together in Windows Movie Maker which is annoying. There
has to be a way to make the movies in one single recording because I
did it once.

Why are you stopping? Are you hitting the 4GB limit? If so get rid of
the FAT file system and switch to NTFS.
