I do have ffdshow installed. I also have one called G400 that loads when I
use WMP 10 for some divx playback. I see the option to select ffdshow, but
it does not seem to stick with it. How do I make most programs use ffdshow
for the audio portion of playback? Is there a way to access ffdshows
settings to do this? Or is it done within whatever player I am using?

hmm...you want the divx codec to playback the video and ffdshow to playback
the audio of the same file?

To my knowledge, I'm not sure such a thing is possible.

Yes, that is correct. But maybe I am misunderstanding something as well. I
believed that you could use a player with whatever codec could play the
appropriate stream.
