I have downloaded a movie and the video looks "sparkly" (I have little
"dash's" of light that appear randomly throughout the video screen.). I have
installed and uninstalled xvid, divx, ffdshow, nero digital plug-in codec's
and nothing fixes the problem. It plays fine on my old laptop but not on my
new desktop. I have installed VLC and divx player but the do the same thing.
I ran Gspot and it says I have the codec's. I downloaded a hdtv-lol.avi file
and it was so bad I could not watch. The little dash's became large bright
lines. any suggestions.

I saw somthing like that once. It turned out to be due to bad video card
drivers. Try older or newer driver's releases.
