Hi.

My "Red Star 231 RS" plays the DVDs with an incorrect aspect ratio. Every
film is like 16:9 forced as 4:3 (but without the black bars, so everything
looks very odd.

I tried to set up "TV Type" in the setup menu but it had no effect (I tried
"4:3 PS", "4:3 LB" and "16:9" - I have a 4:3 TV).

But my SVCDs are played with the correct ratio.

Please some advice.

Btw: Where can I get firmware upgrades for Red Star? Do they have a
homepage?

WIth a 4:3 tv, you should set the DVD player to 4:3 LB.
