Any suggestions for a windows app which will stream audio coming from line-
in? The google searches I've done have come up with Linux options.

I've tried ShoutCast but was hoping for something simplier.

Windows recorder will do short bits of it.

A far more elegant solution though it a freeware program called
Audacity, which is available for Windows as well as Linux and Mac...

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I dont need to edit it or record it, just stream whats coming into line-in,
live.

As in distribute it out to the Internet as it's occurring?

Ah, I see. That's quite different. You'll need a webhost that
support steaming feeds, and whatever software works with the server
technology they use I think.

This is possible with Shoutcast, no need for a webhost. You can set up your
own webhost locally and serve it out yourself. I was hoping for an all-in
one application. Shoutcast has a few too many moving parts.
