I have a powered sub which I wish to use it with my PM7200. I would like
to utilise the pre-out sockets to connect to the sub. However if I do so
the signal to the PM7200's power amp section is cut and all I get is bass
from the sub. I am assuming that there is some sort of cable available
which would allow me to connect the syb and still have the amp powering my
front speakers? Currently I use the tape outputs but this means that I
cannot control the subs output in tandem with the amp.

Hope someone can help!

Very simple: RCA 'Y' cables. However, plug the cable (female to two males)
to the pre-out/pwr-in jacks first, listen critically; then plug the sub in
to make sure its input is not loading down the power amp input. It's
unlikely that this will be an issue, but it never hurts to check.

For clarification, for each channel, take a 'Y' cable, plug its male ends
into the pre-out/pwr-in jacks. Then plug a separate RCA-RCA male cord into
the female of the 'Y' and the other end into your sub input.

Many thanks for the advice Jak! I stood with the cables in my hand this
morning at a local shop and decided against it! I will go back and buy
them tomorrow.
