Hi, just curious if anyone has compared the DVD-R recording quality of the
Panasonic DMR-E20 with, say, the comparable current model (DMR-E55?) unit?

I've been happy with my E20, but didn't think it did that good of a job
handling analog/VHS video I would send to it. Dark scenes were really
pixelated/blocky. If the light levels were higher, it did a good job, but
if I was converting a nighttime scene, it looked unusable...

Any suggestions are appreciated...perhaps there's a non-Panasonic dvd-r unit
that's better? I'm only considering set top models...not looking for
computer based recorders.
