Question about DVD PCI software... |
|
|
I use an Adaptec PCI card to capture video, and I use Arcsoft Showbiz
software to record video. I dont understand why it says record your own
DVD's but when you record in DVD quality, the file ends up being more
than 4.7GB and wont even fit on a regular one sided DVD-R.
So I end up recording it in VCD quality and the same video ends up being
around 1GB and it will fit on a DVD but the quality is shit.
Does anyone know of software that captures to a low file size without
degrading the video quality?

Capture in the best video quality you can, then make sure they audio is in a
compressed format, NOT PCM, and then run thorugh DVD Shrink to fit to your
target size. |

I already tried DVD Shrink, but when I record in DVD quality the
extenion I think is still in mpeg (mpeg 2 I think is what it records it
in). and DVD shrink doesnt support that extention. |

You have to create the authored DVD b4 running it through DVD Shrink. It |
needs to be authored to DVD specs anyway to make compatible DVDs. |
