record .wav files to CD but cannot play in car's CD player |
|
|
I have many .wav files in PC, and I burned the files to the CD. I am
able to play the CD in computer. The problem is when I play the CD
using regular CD player (not in computer, like the CD player in car), I
couldn't hear anything. If I have 5 .wav files, I want
to make different tracks, like track 1, track 2, etc...
any ideas? please advise.
thanks!!

It appears you're burning them as data discs. You need to burn them as MUSIC
cd's. Any burning program should do both. What burning program are you
using?

Try the CDR that won't play in your car in OTHER standalone CD players.
Also try reducing the record speed to 2x or 4x. You can try other CDRs.
I have found 'certain' CDR blanks that I use with one particular burner I
own, must be burned SLOWER if I want them to read on ALL of my CD players.
On the other hand, I can use the EXACT same CDR blanks in a DIFFERENT
burner, and have no problem burning them faster (and they can be read by any
CD player). |

Also, when burning individual tracks, you MUST 'finialize' the CD (no
further writes are possible - this should be an 'burn' option ). Computers
can play a 'non-finalized' CDRs but standalone units can have problems. |
