Hi,

I'm looking for a DVD player that has these features:

1) Component video output
2) Optical digital audio output
3) Multi-region
4) Converts PAL to NTSC (I have some PAL R2 DVDs I want to watch)
5) Ignores any attempt by the DVD to disable fast-forward, etc (so I
can skip stuff like the FBI copyright notice).
6) And optionally, multi-disc

Does anyone know of a player like this? I think Apex used to have
some models, but I can't find any real info on their web site.

I'm also willing to download or purchase a firmware upgrade.

My unit does obey a DVD's PUO's (prohibited user operations) such as
trying to FF through or skip title sets.

I have firmware 0531 and there is a serious defect in that the player
won't hold its progressive scan output through the power off-on cycle.
