CBUF Vancouver, BC -- a multiplex I would like to see..

Currently CBUF is on channel 26 UHF running NTSC.

If the transmitter were converted to HD, it could relay the following:

26.1 : CBUF

26.2 : RDI

26.3 : CBUF-FM (minimalist TV channel, 160 kbs)

26.4 : Radio France International (as CBUF-FM)

26.4 : RCI's 24 Hour French Stream (92 kbs)

They have applied for DTV on Channel 16.

No indication here about what they will mux. (They may have many ideas.)

I think that's just a channel allotment at this point. (be careful
about taking foreign-station records in the FCC DB too seriously)

To my knowledge none of the CBC DTVs are on the air yet, though the
Toronto stations (both English and French) have applied - and maybe been
approved - and IIRC at least one other city - Montreal, probably - has
applied. I don't think Vancouver has applied yet but I'd expect it to
be next.
