I know regular LCD tv's have bad pixels that happen over time, does
that happen to a rear projection LCD TV HDTV. I see the new 50" LCD
rear projection Panasonic TV and love the picture compared to DLP tv's
i saw.

Don't know about bad pixels, but some of LCD RPTVs have suffered from
"color shift" over time. Possibly due to heat damage from the
projection bulb.

Regardless of the display you choose, make sure the dealer lets you
view standard definition programming on the thing before you decide.
Standard def picture quality on fixed pixel displays can sometimes look
absolutely awful.
