Hi, hope this is the right place for this.

This problem is driving my mum nuts which in turn is driving me nuts.
She has a portable TV in the kitchen with a built in VCR and a TV in the
lounge with a separate VCR.
Recorded tapes in their own machines work fine but if she tries to watch a
tape recorded on one VCR in the 'other' TV it's as if there is major
tracking problem that can't be fixed.
I this a known problem, is there anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks for any help.

Assuming that manual tracking doesnt help, one of the machines has an
alignment problem.
Take tapes recorded on each machine to a friends house and check them out,
or better yet, go to an electronics store and try each tape on different
machines. Odds are the defective machine will be easily spotted. Video
recorded on the bad machine will have lost its compatibility with other
vcrs.
