Anyone know where I can find the meanings of the error codes ?

Been fine for a month (from buying new) and now scrunches almost every other
tape that goes into it, with either error code 1 or 3 displayed.

What part of it's cycle is eating the tapes?
Is knowing the error codes meaning going to help you cure it?
