VHS -> DVD |
|
|
Hello NG!
I am looking for devices (standalone) on which I can transfer VHS cassettes
onto DVDs.
Ideally, I want to press only one button and the VHS is transferred to the
DVD-R which I can then play on and DVD-Player!
Are there such devices?
If yes, can you please name one or two?
Thank you in advance!
Kai

Closest thing to what you want, AFAIK, is from HP, the DVD Movie Writer.
I've never used one so I can't vouch for it personally.

It is usually a little more complicated. If the tape has Macrovision,
then you need a device that will stip the Macrovision. If the tape has
been recorded from TV, you might want to edit out the commercials. If
the tape is too long for a DVD, you might want to edit out some
content to make it fit on one DVD.
