My daughter's roommate somehow locked their Quasar VHQ740 VCR. The VCR was
bought at a garage sale and they do not have a manual ( or the remote). Can
someone point me to an online source for the manual or tell me how to unlock
the VCR?

Well, I found the answer and thought I'd post it here in case someone else
runs into the same problem. To lock or unlock the Quasar VHQ740 VCR, hold in
the Stop/Eject button for about 7 seconds or so when the machine is either
off or stopped.
I was told Quasar is made by Panasonic, and I discovered this is how the
lock feature works on some of their machines -- so I tried it on the Quasar
and ....success!
