Why did my DirecTivo suddenly lose channels? |

I returned from a 3-day weekend to find that my Hughs DirecTivo had only
about a dozen channels in the guide and, even worse, the same dozen channels
listed in the "Channels I receive" setup screen.
I rebooted the TIVO, and all the channels came back, though I did have to go
through favorites again to block out the ones I don't like (Does DTV really
need a dozen or so shopping channels?).
Any idea on what happened? Needless to say, I missed a couple of season's
passes.

There is a software upgrade going around right now that may have caused
this. We went from a "c" version to a "d' version that caused problems and
then to an "e" version to fix the problems that the "d" version caused.
