I'm wondering if anyone has a hack to control the DirecTV Tivo remotely via
serial port. I don't want to apply the software hacks to the Tivo drive:

A. Because my PC's C: drive is NTFS (Win2k) can't mount to monte
B. Don't want to resize the partition and no spare drives to use.
C. My wife is skeptical...
D. I'm skeptical, how long will a hack continue to work reliably before
DirecTV breaks it?

The reason I want to control the Tivo is I have the video out wired to the
video capture card in our PC so we can watch TV on the computer in another
room. I had a "Home Control" serial cable wired to our previous DTV receiver
to change channels and that worked great. Now I'm screwed. Any ideas?
