I just put in a new WinTV GO, works for a bit, then picture freezes,
audio continues. If I try to close it, things go back and XP ends up
unresponsive and, in the end, won't shut down. I need to hit reset
button, then on restart, everythings ok, WinTV stars up again, but in
a while freezes and then it's the same all over again.
I have P4 @ 3.0 Ghz, Hyperthreading, two 512MB DDR in dual channel,
dual SATA in RAID0, Intel PERL865 mobo, ATI video card.
Any help? Haven't tried latest drivers from Hauppauge yet.
BTW, it seems there's alot of 3rd party sw for Hauppauge tvs, any good
links?

Turns out to be hyperthreading. The WinTV works fine with
hyperthreading disabled. Same problem, reported on various newsgroups,
steered me away from ATI. Didn't find any such reports before I bought
WinTV, though. Went into BIOS, disabled hyperthreading and no
problems.
