PLEASE HELP |
|
|
OK I'm helping my buddy out. He's got 3 hows he did recorded on DVD,
he wants to make a demo featuring clips from each. I need to rip all 3
disks. and encode them in 100% quality for editing in premiere so that
way the export if the same and no quality is lost.
Ripping the vobs is't a problem, I have the software for that. But
what about a good encoder? Any suggestions?
please help, hes on a deadline and nagging me :/

These 3 "hows" "recorded on DVD", what format are they in?
If they are authored DVD compliant MPEG2, and you intend
converting them, so that Premier can work with them, then you
can't " encode them in 100% quality for editing in premiere so that
way the export if the same and no quality is lost". ( This assumes
that I've correctly interpreted your post, you may want to find a
friend that speaks and reads English to proof read your posts)
If these 3 "hows" are three shows, as in TV shows, then the only
editing you are going to want to do is "Cut and Join" because the
shows have already been professionally edited. If that's the case
you can keep it in MPEG2 and use something like VideoReDo
www.VideoReDo.com or the Womble products to do frame
accurate cuts with no overall re-encoding.
If these 3 "hows" are three hours "recorded on DVD", then it
will depend on if the format of the video is compatible with
Premier. I know of no video format that would both be
compatible, and fit three hours on a DVD. (It is possible that
some SIS format could, but this is an area I'm not familiar
with.) Assuming that the format is not compatible, you will
need to convert from a highly compressed format to a much
less compressed one, which can't be done without loss. You
could then do your Editing in Premier.
Luck;

Re: PLEASE HELP |

Sry it was about 4am when i posted that and my eyes were burning.
Anyways the word was "Shows" not "hows". And the most basic way to
put what I need to do is; I need to edit the video contents of 3 DvDs
and put them on 1. Not the full shows, just parts from each. About
2hours total. And I can't lose any quality.
I'm hopping the app you've pointed out works, I'll try it out thanks.

DVDShrink using Reauthor, Star/End and no compression.
Then author the rips from the 3 disks.
Doesn't need to be re encoded.
