First thing is to prepare the schematic for sending.
If you are not able to use CAD pc based circuit drawing techniques
then draw the circuit as neatly as possible with a black 0.8mm felt tipped
pen
on a blank sheet of paper.
Include as much AC and DC voltage information as possible and all R&C values.
Let the drawing take up the size of an A4 page.
Then scan at 300 dpi in greyscale.
Your scanner may have 'Arcsoft Pro' or some other image manipulation program
with it.
After the initial scan, go to 'enhance image', and boost contrast and
brightness each by 10%.
This will remove 90% of the grey smudges and grunge on the paper.
Then bring up image size, and it might be 3,000 pixels x 2,000 pixels,
and it needs to be reduced in pixel size or else it will appear far too big
on somebody's screen when you send it and the file size will be several Mb,
and too big,
and take too long to send and receive.
So reduce the pixel size to about 600 wide x 400 high.
Then go to enhance, and apply "sharpen lightly" to the image, and
that should make the schema lines you have drawn appear nice and sharply
and readable.
The file size will be about 100 kB, easy to transmit, and the recipient
will find that the image nicely fills his screen and he'll see them as you
see it
when you have displayed the image at "actual size" on your screen.
Save the prepared image to your 'audio technical' file & 'tube amp folder'
Save the prepared image as a jpg, which everyone will be able to open,
or perhaps a gif, or pdf.
When you have a group of requests form ppl wanting a copy of what you have
done,
you have two options.
One is to post a message to alt.binaries.schematics.electronic
and attach a copy of the image file to the message and add a text note
explaining the circuit if you want.
Then post to rec.audio.tubes to tell the fellas you just posted at abse.
They can then download the image if they have access to abse which is
reliable.
The second way to get images to ppl who don't have access to up to date abse
postings,
and many don't, then you might have to post your image directly to those
wanting a copy.
That's achieved by placing multiple email addresses in your address box.
and attatching the image in the same way as for the news group,
maybe send to each person separately.
The images at abse may only stay at abse for 48 hrs before they "expire"
ie, they dissapear.
If this is your first attempt, expect lotsa flak and criticisms for your
efforts.
This is normal in the learning process.
If your schematics are as neat as what appears in the text books,
you should get little criticisms, but then you have to be sure of your
measurements,
and learn to convey it convincingly, and in a way that cannot mean more than
one thing.
I for one will try to be kind about your errors, since I assure you
I am a man who does not know everything, ok.
