awww now I'm not as impressed <g>
I didn't realize it was recorded, figured you had to come up with immediate
answers without the time to think about it before clicking the send button.

Thanks... if you listened to it, then you've heard my lifetime of radio
broadcast sessions... all I did was answer the phone and chat about Movie

Unlike here, where I can't take back a post once I send it... I can say
'cut, cut' and redo part of the session. I used the undo button once
during the recording.

I listened to the first one, nice job you sounded like you've been doing
radio all your life.
I agree with you about the Q&A, you don't want it to simply become an
audio version of this NG.
A tip of the session is a good way to segment out of the user problems
part of the show.

Thanks... the first session was only Q&A.... for the next ones I'll be
adding a 'tip of the session'... so it doesn't go too far down the path
of focusing on the problems without some balance...

could the card be defective, and still show up in the device manager as

Well just so you know, Sopny appear to be using odd firmaware in some of
their cams, the HC42 is well documented to not be working with Macs, some
Panasonic models have a problem with SP2 due to another problem, but only
PAL models.
Perhaps mail me off list with all the details of the cam and pc and all the
things you have done to try to solve the problem, and as much background
info as you can, as in if it did work at one stage, etc etc...

OOOOH, just noticed you want to use it as a monitor.
I was thinking you were trying to play something from tv out on your
computer.
Not sure you can use a tv as a monitor with just S video out. Might be
possible with a digital tv and the right software, but i doubt you can just
hook it up.

Hello,
I am getting this same problem. I just got a new monitor and had a
little trouble geting to a correct resolution for the monitor. Monitor
is Dell 2405fpw(I know huge monitor)

I have the correct resolution now 1920X1200, everything looks and works
great, but for some reason WMV files are pink and overexposed. AVI's
work fine. Games work fine, HalfLife2, CounterStrike Source,
Battlefield 2, etc.

I installed several different free players that will play WMV files,
but all had the same problem.

I uninstalled and re-installed Windows Media Player. I re-installed the
latest direct X and the latest NVidia drivers. I still have this problem
with WMV files.

AVI and MAC video works fine.

I also re-installed Divx.

I do not know what the problem is.

Please any help would be appreciated.

-Tedwood
