Problem:Frame Skipping, non-sync |
|
|
I have been noticing in most of my videos, that media player starts
skipping frames during video playback. A 9 minute movie (avi/mpg) it shows
at 45 secs and skips badly through it. Never used to do this. I thought
it was a media player problem, but it does it in Real PLayer and WinDVD
also.
I have begun to use Sony Vegas to edit some of my clips and noticed that
some of the audio wasn't syncing to the video, and realized it is doing the
same thing even when rendering. I don't know if it is because it is
happening during the load time, or during the render, but I need some help
please.
Is this a codec problem? It happens on most video formats, even .wmv
files. Is my graphics card dying? I use a Radeon Pro 9800 128meg. I
noticed that the fan on my card was making some noise and when playing
games during down times I had to open the side of the comp to keep it cool.
I will be getting a replacement soon from ATi, but would this be a symptom
of a bad graphics card?
Any suggestions would be appreciated
